Primary Function Of The Fire Hose Storage Box Production Line

The fire hose box production line is, simply put, a complete set of automated equipment designed for the mass production of fire hose boxes (commonly known as fire hydrant boxes) with metal housings; its primary function is to directly process raw materials such as steel plates into qualified finished box units.

Its primary function can be broken down as follows:

  • Batch-molded enclosure: Carbon steel or stainless steel sheets (thickness: 0.8–2.0 mm) are directly processed into metal enclosures for indoor fire hydrant boxes, outdoor fire hydrant boxes, or fire hose boxes through processes such as stamping, bending, flanging, and edgelocking.
  • Ensures accuracy and consistency: The automated production line utilizes servo-driven feeding systems and PLC control, enabling a one-time molding accuracy of less than 0.5 mm – significantly higher than that achieved with manual bending and welding processes – resulting in more uniform products.
  • Significant efficiency improvement: Taking fully automated equipment such as the Boling BL3600 as an example, the single-unit production cycle can be as short as 25 seconds, with a daily output exceeding 1,000 units; in contrast, traditional semi-automated equipment requires 90 seconds per unit, yielding only approximately 300 units per day.
  • Reduced labor and scrap rates: The entire production line can typically be operated by a single worker, with the scrap rate kept below 0.5%; in contrast, traditional methods require three to four workers to operate the line, resulting in a scrap rate of 3%–5%.
  • Production standard compliance: The enclosures manufactured on the production line must comply with the inspection standards for fire hydrant enclosures; for example, the enclosure shall be free of dents or surface scratches; the perpendicularity deviation of all surfaces shall not exceed 1.5–3/1000; the gap between the enclosure door and the frame shall not exceed 2.5 mm; and the thickness of the enclosure sheet metal for each bolt shall be no less than 1.0 mm, among other requirements.
