Roll Forming Equipment and Process Systems

The roll forming production line primarily consists of equipment such as an uncoiler, butt welder, forming unit, wheel welder, cutting machine, and collection rack, with the forming unit serving as the core component of the line.

The forming unit comprises an electric motor, speed reducer, universal shaft, gearbox, roll forming shafts, and forming rollers; it supports both profile and arc forming capabilities, features adjustable linear speed (e.g., a range of 0–12 m/min), and is equipped with a rapid tool-changing system.

A typical roll forming process flow includes steps such as uncoiling, strip shearing and butt welding, roll forming, welding, cut-to-length cutting, and product collection.

This process can be integrated with stretch bending, stamping, and welding operations to form a continuous production line.

The intelligent roll forming equipment integrates digital twin technology, real-time monitoring, an expert knowledge base, and large AI models to support process optimization and decision-making; the expert knowledge base encompasses information such as material databases, historical data, and simulation designs.
