I. Integrated Roll Forming and Laser Welding for One-Time Multi-Cavity Housing Forming

Square battery housings often require multi-cavity cross-sections such as the "口" or "日" shape. Traditional processes require stamping followed by welding. This equipment integrates an online laser welding system, simultaneously completing weld closure after cold bending, producing fully enclosed housings in "口", "日", "目", and P-shapes. The welds are smooth and dense, with excellent airtightness, and the housing's torsional and bending resistance meets battery pack safety standards.

 

II. Multi-Specification Compatibility and Flexible Changeover

Different vehicle models have significantly different requirements for battery housing dimensions (length, width, and cross-sectional shape vary). The equipment supports automatic width adjustment and features a quick-change mold design, resulting in short changeover times and the ability to accommodate multiple battery housing models on the same production line. After customers provide drawings and specifications, technicians can quickly customize corresponding molds and forming parameters to meet the flexible production needs of "small batches, multiple varieties."

Q: What materials can the production line process?

A: It can process high-strength steel (DP steel, TRIP steel), aluminum alloy (3003, etc.), and stainless steel (0.03-0.2mm thin plates). Different materials require matching roller materials (Cr12MoV hardened rollers for high-strength steel/stainless steel, and scratch-resistant coated rollers for aluminum alloy) and forming gaps. Customers need to specify the material and thickness when selecting the model.

Q: Will forming the aluminum alloy shell scratch the surface?

A: Aluminum alloy has low surface hardness and is easily scratched. The roller surface of the equipment is precision ground and treated with a special coating, resulting in a high degree of smoothness. This effectively protects the aluminum plate surface during the forming process, preventing indentations and scratches, allowing it to directly proceed to welding and surface treatment processes.
