The Supermarket Shelf Upright Roll Forming Machine is a specialized piece of equipment for continuously roll-forming steel strips into supermarket shelf upright profiles. Shelf uprights are the vertical load-bearing components of the shelving system, directly bearing the entire load of goods transmitted from the shelves. Their cross-sectional shape is typically an irregular tubular or C-shaped structure with multiple rows of hanging holes (butterfly holes or diamond holes). Extremely high requirements are placed on forming precision and hole positioning, and it must also meet the needs of adjusting for different shelf heights. Only one person is required to operate the machine, with a production speed of 5-15 m/min and a cutting dimensional tolerance of ≤±0.5 mm (length ≤3000 mm). After forming, the upright profiles can be directly applied to a spray coating line for surface treatment.

Supermarket shelf uprights require butterfly or diamond-shaped holes drilled according to a fixed module for inserting shelf hooks. The equipment uses servo-controlled continuous punching in the stamping section, ensuring precise hole positioning and consistent spacing. Punching and forming are completed simultaneously, producing upright profiles with complete hanging holes in a single process, eliminating the need for secondary drilling.

Supermarket shelf uprights are often tubular or C-shaped with flanges. Traditionally, bending and welding are required to seal these sections. This equipment uses multi-pass progressive rolling to form steel strips into closed or semi-closed irregular tubular upright cross-sections in a single pass. The deformation is evenly distributed across each pass, resulting in precise cross-sectional dimensions and stable angles. This eliminates the need for subsequent welding, creating a high-strength column structure and removing weld seams, a weak point in load-bearing structures.

GCr15 hardened rollers, suitable for both thick and thin shelves, long service life

The thickness of the sheet metal used for uprights typically ranges from 0.6-1.5mm (covering light to heavy-duty shelving), resulting in more noticeable wear on the rollers than on the shelves themselves. The rollers are made of GCr15 bearing steel with a solid hardening treatment, achieving a hardness of HRC58°-62%, providing excellent wear resistance. During long-term high-load operation, the roller surface is less prone to wear and deformation, ensuring long-term stability of the upright's cross-sectional dimensions.
